IDF MENA Region Conference 2019

As a member of the International Diabetes Federation, DiaLeb participated in the IDF-MENA Regional Conference on Diabetes and Nutrition held on 3-6 April, 2019 at Le Royal Hotel in Amman, Jordan. The conference had more than 700 healthcare professionals attending from the MENA region.

Dr. Jackie Maalouf, founder and president of DiaLeb and Ms. Lina Farhat, dietitian and awareness program coordinator were present at the conference that was hosted by The Jordanian Society for the Care of Diabetes (JSCD) in collaboration with IDF Mena Region, the Jordanian Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism (JSED), the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists AACE (Jordan Chapter) and the Jordanian Nutrition Society under the patronage of HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein. The three-day program included lectures and workshops on the latest updates in diabetes and nutrition in the MENA region. Dr. Jackie Maalouf was moderating the panel entitled “The Role of Dietitians & Diabetes Nurses Educators”.
